3D No-Go for November
Directors, eh? You just can't believe a word that comes out of their mouths any more. No sooner had James Cameron suggested that a 3D version of Avatar could be on the cards for November, than 20 Century Fox Home Entertainment were shooting him down.
A spokesman for Fox told the Wall Street Journal, "3D is in the conceptual stage and Avatar will not be out on 3D Blu-ray in November." Could it be that Fox haven't actually been paying attention to the progress of the 3D format?
On the plus side, the spokesman didn't deny the April release date that was suggested for the standard 2D version. Plus, if it doesn't show up in November, it gives you some extra time to save up for the brand new Television and Blu-ray player you need to be able to watch it anyway.
